After a long couple of weeks phone screening and interviewing people for a couple of open positions we have at work, I want to share a few dos and don'ts when you are applying for a job.
Things NOT to do during a phone screen:
-have your TV blaring in the background
-yell at your kids in my ear
-swear
-describe in detail how to insert a catheter
-argue with me
-answer the phone in your sleep
-talk to me while you’re working
Things NOT to do during an interview:
-bring a friend
-smoke immediately before entering the office
-wear revealing clothes
-wear excess amounts of perfume or cologne
-ask me if your answers were right
-tell me the questions are dumb
-say offensive things
-ask me when you start
DO
-use a lint roller if you have a lot of pets
-wash your hair
-turn off your phone, but if you forget, don’t answer it
Lastly,if you are interested in working with mentally ill individuals, at least know what the term "mental illness" means..

This is so funny! And so true! When I used to interview people I would always be amazed at who/what would show up!
