Legionville Camp

This afternoon we dropped off Paige at Legionville Camp in Brainerd. She was selected to be a lieutenant on the school patrol this coming school year, so the school pays for the two captains and two lieutenants to attend this camp which is operated by The American Legion.

"Legionville is a training center for Minnesota school patrol and bus patrol officers. While safety training is the primary program, students also attend classes in first aid, canoeing, and swimming. At the end of the week, the Minnesota Highway Patrol Safety Officer will give each student an examination covering the school patrol and safety lessons taught while at the training center."

Paige has been nervous about going and had a lot of butterflies on our way there, but she didn't even shed a tear when we left! I was the one shedding tears (once we got in the car). I really hope she has a great time and makes lots of new friends.

Here she is in front of her bunk. Unfortunately the picture is kind of blurry.
